Dressage
Fig Tree Pocket Equestrian Club runs up to six Equestrian Australia Dressage Competitions per calendar year from Prep (Walk/ Trot) right through to Grand Prix across both Participant and Competitive. In the first half of the year, there are also Young Horse classes included (for horses aged 4 - 7 years old).
All entries are via Nominate. All competitors are required to hold either a Participant or Competitive Equestrian QLD Membership.
The aim of these competitions is to create a quiet, friendly competition that welcomes new competitors and regulars alike.
The day before the competition, there are Protocol sessions (‘Meet the Judge) available for Member’s Only to ride a test and receive verbal feedback from a judge. These are a great introduction to Dressage if you aren’t quite ready to compete yet, want to try a new level in a low pressure environment or have an inexperienced horse that needs some more exposure.

2026 Members Leaderboard
The FTPEC Dressage Leaderboard recognises and rewards the achievements of Fig Tree Pocket Equestrian Club members throughout the Dressage competition season at FTPEC Dressage Days.
Eligibility
Points are awarded to FTPEC member Horse and Rider combinations only.
Membership eligibility is determined to be those that hold an Active FTPEC membership.
Riders covered under a Family Membership are eligible to earn points.
Points are awarded based on the combination's official published placing in each class, regardless of whether non-members place ahead of them.
Points are allocated as follows:
1st Place = 35 points
2nd Place = 34 points
3rd Place = 33 points
Continuing to decrease by one point per placing.
Points are cumulative across all FTPEC dressage competitions conducted during the leaderboard season.
Points are awarded to the specific Horse and Rider combination. Points do not transfer between horses or riders.
If a rider competes multiple horses, each horse and rider combination will earn points separately.
Young Horse classes are not included in the leaderboard.

The leaderboard is maintained separately for the following levels. Both Competitive and Participant classes qualify for the leaderboard.

Leaderboard Updates
The leaderboard will be updated following each FTPEC Dressage competition and published on the club website. Rankings are based on the total points accumulated by each Horse and Rider combination throughout the season.
Awards
A winning rug and rosette, thanks to HORSELAND IPSWICH, will be provided to the winner of each level at the Annual General Meeting on Sunday, 29 November 2026. Winners must be present to collect prizes or have nominated another person to collect the prize on their behalf. No prizes will be posted.
